CSM Daughters of Charity and Foundation board member ease suffering in HaitiCSM Daughters of Charity and Foundation board member ease suffering in Haiti

The Daughters of Charity - co-sponsor of Columbia St. Mary's and a sponsor of Ascension Health, CSM's parent company - have several missions in Haiti, including a strong presence in the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince.

The Daughters, like so many Haitians, experienced grave personal loss in the January 12th earthquake, but they are committed to "easing suffering wherever they find it."

Many others are easing suffering as well, including Dr. Jeff Cameron, a rehabilitation and wound care specialist and Columbia St. Mary’s Foundation board member, who shares his firsthand account of treating injured Haitians in a makeshift hospital at the Port-au-Prince airport.
